When Catheryn came to the United States 3 years ago she was in 10th grade in Colombia. In Colombia, she was supposed to be in school at 12pm. She had to wear a uniform, but she didn’t like to wear her uniform to school because she couldn’t express herself. When she came to the US, she felt lonely because she left most of her family in Colombia. But, at the same time, she wanted to start a new life with her parents in the US. The hardest part of starting a new life in the US for Catheryn was not being able to go to school right away and finding friends. She didn’t go to school for four months, and felt bad about it. Now she goes to Lee High and she is happy.
